Developers seem to be working to present new features behind the social media application picker. One of the new features seems to be adding a WhatsApp shortcut inside an app. The company is testing this new feature to make video sharing easier for its users. Shortcuts will allow TikTok users to easily share their TikTok video with their friends and family. To make it clear, "WhatsApp" was already present on the "share" menu in the TikTok.However, it seems to add the list of direct shortcuts to your friends or family in the app inside WhatsApp.

Upcoming features on TikTok

According to a report by TheNextWeb, the company is working to test several unreleased features. Thanks, TikTok developers are currently testing a "Discover" tab in the app.Similar to Instagram, this tab is intended to facilitate the discovery of content on the platform. The company is also working to test the grid feed layout as part of the "Discover" tab. This unpublished tab can take place on the normal "Search" tab on the left of the upload button. It is not clear to us how unique the feature is compared to the Instagram Discovery tab.

Other changes include checking new icons to indicate the number of likes or downloads on any paid video. The report reveals that the social media platform is also testing Facebook and Google account linking. This feature will help users easily discover and connect their Facebook or Gmail contacts to TikTok. The report does not refer to an account switcher. The feature we saw was similar to account switcher at Instagram. The switch allows TikTok users to manage multiple accounts without needing to log out and log in.

Developers are also working on other experiments which include "recommended users", "sounds" and "Hashtags" in search. Outside, company comments include "creator-tagged" tags can be added. This will probably not make their way into the stable version of the app in the specified features. Most likely, the company will implement the changes that receive the most positive response.
